About the client
Our client is a well respected firm looking to recruit a Compliance Consultant to focus on advice and guidance to the business.About the role
This role is responsible for providing advice and guidance to the business on regulatory matters and to monitor the performance of operational business units in meeting the rules requirements. The purpose of the team is to ensure that the business is aware of the regulatory requirements and to protect the business against adverse publicity and disciplinary procedures.What we're looking for
To play a key role in the design and the implementation of compliant systems and procedures within the operation. To provide a consultancy/support service and training to all business areas on regulatory matters and to work on a business partner basis.
To ensure that any lessons learnt from monitoring is shared across all business areas.
Represent the Compliance function at internal and external meetings
Providing training, support and ongoing advice and to Staff and Managers on compliance issues within their areas of operation.
Identifying and/or investigating and/or escalation of key compliance failures on behalf of the Compliance function.
Supporting compliant sales and customer service by ensuring that necessary compliance controls are built into all call scripts & processes and, becomes “second nature”.
Play a key role in Identifying trends and issues / risks and developing/implementing action plans to address these issues.
About the offer
Knowledge of FSA rules keeping up-to-date with regulatory developments (ideally general insurance)·
Experience of working in a regulatory environment
Significant front line operational and or compliance experience
